Akashi Japanese Restaurant @Paragon

Happiness is having japanese food on friday with our best friend 🙂

Its my second favourite japanese restaurant that i frequent after our best friend introduced us a few years back. Akashi served authentic japanese cuisine, with or without set meals, both available during lunch and dinner. Their ingredients and seafood are all chosen and bought in Japan and air-flown daily to Singapore in order to serve their finest, to all their customers.

I especially love their beef meals. Why did i say that? Its because they always prepare their beef in the way that i ordered with the same quality taste. I had their beef steak set meal many times, and every time i will either order it medium rare or well done. Akashi’s medium rare beef steak is the best. The chef will prepare it such that when you separate every piece, it is evenly cook on the outer part and evenly raw on the centre part. It has become a habit for me to separate them and still feel amazed every time i sees it! The first bite will tell you the freshness of the beef steak. Its is soft and juicy, and as you slowly chew it, its very tender and the right amount of oil will totally bring out the flavour of the beef. Even when i had it well done this time, its not hard or stiff. Its perfect for elderly who is wearing dentures or people who can’t take medium rare beef. I would highly recommend you to try it!

Their grill chicken with teriyaki sauce is tasty as well. Fresh chicken is grilled and topped with teriyaki sauce that is not too salty.

Their set meal comes with rice, miso soup, pickles and watermelon slices. There’s also a-la-carte sides.

Akashi Japanese restaurant is located at Paragon Shopping centre #B1-01. Other locations are VivoCity, Orchard Parade Hotel, Suntec City Mall and Robinsons Orchard.

Highly recommend Akashi for fine, authentic japanese cuisine.
