Mid-autumn festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th month on the chinese lunar calendar.My close friend recommended the durian snowskin mooncakes from Four Seasons. We bought them from Takashimaya, on friday evening  after dinner. The people from the store are very nice, let us try the D24 and Mao Shan Wang durian moon cakes, taking care that each customer takes the D24 durian first before the Mao Shan Wang durian, the reason is because Mao Shan Wang is more fragrant and has more flavour, so if one tries the Mao Shan Wang durian first, the D24 durian will be less tasteful!

Lovely metal box with styrofoam box inside to keep the durian moon cakes cold within two hours. You will always be reminded to be home by two hours after the purchase, if not, they also offer you to pay first and then come back to get them before heading home!

We bought the small snowskin D24 and Mao Shan Wang durian moon cakes, 4 each – the yellow snowskin is the D24 durian while the  white snowskin is the Mao Shan Wang durian moo cake. This box costs me around $70.

D24 durian snowskin mooncake – one can smell and taste the flavour of pure D24 durian pulp in the moon cake, can even see the fibre in it.

My mum is full of praises for Four Seasons’ snowskin durian moon cakes! It is always a great pleasure seeing family members enjoying and liking what i bought 🙂
